REPA Campaigns & Elections

Please note that this part of REPAweb is not yet in use

Introduction

This section of REPAweb will provide Ryanair pilots with a place to participate in various elections and also to express their support or disapproval of different matters. Ryanair pilots who are not members of REPA will be free to vote here on certain matters.

If you wish to participate in elections or other activities here you will have to provide personal information.  This information will be kept in a special independent database stored at a confidential location.

The database will be only used to confirm that you are a current Ryanair pilot and that your vote follows the relevant rules.  The remote database will be accessed from a Lawyer’s office if it is necessary to verify any information.

We will not permit any public comments in this part of the site.  Feedback can be provided by sending an e-mail  to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

At present the two main categories of activity expected here are Elections and Campaign “sign up”.  We expect to introduce a feature to allow Ryanair pilots to express approval or disapproval of actions taken by their Base ERC.

Elections

We envisage voting for matters such as the election of REPA Base Representatives, approval or rejection of certain REPA proposals, and so forth.

Campaigns

This may be the single most important part of this section of the REPAweb public site.  This feature will aid pilots in making a commitment to their colleagues as well as various REPA actions.  Any commitments will be to specific and clearly identified positions or actions.

The Campaigns “sign up” process will be the same as for REPA elections.

ERC Actions - Evaluation

We are considering using our REPA voting facility to allow pilots in different Ryanair Bases to express their approval or disapproval of ERC actions/activities in their Base.  (While it is recognised that your ERC “reprentatives” are rarely elected and rarely accountable in a democratic way, it is also acknowledged that there are some exceptions to this observation).

Voting Rules

Rules for how this ERC Action Evaluation will be implemented and used will be agreed with REPA members on the REPAweb site Discussion Fora.  They will then be published here.

How Will We Vote?

You will be taken to a page where you will “sign in”.   Each election, etc. will be treated separately and will require you to “sign in” each time.  “Signing in” will require you to provide identifying information before you can vote.  Voting information will be retained in a separate and remote database and accessible to REPA legal advisors.  Personal information can never be made public, unless you are asked and give your personal approvalWe do not plan to do this.
